About Project 6
Project 6 is an award winning (Top 10 place Glaxosmithkline & Kingsfund Impact awards 2011) voluntary sector drug and alcohol charity based in Keighley, West Yorkshire. We are a harm reduction service working to help people reduce the risks associated with substance misuse and we offer support to users of drugs and alcohol and their relatives and carers.
Our mission is to provide free, confidential, non judgemental services to anyone concerned about, or affected by their own or someone else's substance use.
We aim to reduce the harm associated with and caused by substance use for individuals, their families and the community. We assist substance users and their families to achieve and maintain healthy lifestyles. We do this by providing free, confidential, non judgemental services to anyone concerned about or affected by their own or someone else's substance use. The project is open access and so available to anyone who needs it.
Project 6 aims to facilitate and support service users to enter into a partnership relationship to encourage them to begin a process of change in relation to their substance use issues. Service users are treated with care and respect and services are offered in a confidential and non-judgemental way. Project 6 strives to ensure that its work is of the highest standard and we are therefore guided by evidence based practice.
