Project 6 was originally set up by a group of local parents in response to concerns about ‘glue sniffing’ by local young people in 1989. Adopting a harm reduction approach from the start, we expanded in order to respond to other issues affecting the local community including alcohol services, developing a fantastic drug and alcohol treatment pathway and recovery services.

On October the 1st 2017, the organisation began a significant restructure into our current model due to the changes brought about by Bradford Metropolitan District Council. Our organisation in Keighley now consists of services in the three following areas:  Family Services, Complex Needs Services and Recovery Services.  On October 5th 2017 the charity merged with Sheffield Alcohol Support Services which is now part of Project 6.

The charity incorporated under a new charity number in May 2017 and our accounting history prior to this can be found below.
