Project 6 needs to keep certain information on its employees, volunteers, users, learners and trustees to carry out its day to day operations, to meet its objectives and to comply with legal obligations.
Project 6 is, therefore, a Data Controller under the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Directive on Data Protection (GDPR) introduced in 2018, which means that we determine the purposes for which personal information will be used.
This article explains how Project 6 will hold and process your information when you attend any of our activities, training, groups or one to one appointments.
When attending training, activities or groups we will collect the following types of personal data about you.
A phone number and/or email address We will use this information to contact you for appointments, changes in activity times
Which training, activities and groups you attend
We will use this information to keep a record of activity and group numbers to help plan resources effectively
When attending one to one appointments we may collect the following special categories of personal data about you.
Personal details, including address and date of birth.
We will use this data to contact you and provide appropriate support and signposting with consent.
We will use this information to appropriately support you and to help you reach your goals, for example, put in place support strategies or liaise with your support worker if you are working with one.
We will hold and dispose of this data securely. If you haven’t attended for a while (see retention policy), we will dispose of your personal data by deleting electronic files or shredding paper copies.
