Project 6 is horrified at the racist and Islamophobic violence we have seen unfolding this week. We know this will have an impact on our staff, the people who use our services, their families, our partners and our communities. We have put in extra measures to support staff and people who use our services and will continue to do so as needed.
We are proud to be rooted in the diverse and multicultural towns of Keighley and Bradford, alongside our other communities of Sheffield and Doncaster. The diversity of our communities is a strength and it is our commitment to this which has started our journey to become an anti-racist organisation. This now feels more important than ever.
We stand in solidarity with everyone impacted by the violence and who feels unsafe as a result. Our values include hope, creating safe spaces where people can flourish, and recognising and standing up for people’s rights. These values will help us work together to combat hate and division.
