We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jo Jepson as our new Chief Executive Officer at Project 6, effective from 2 September 2024. With extensive experience working in the voluntary and community sector, Jo brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise as she takes over the leadership of the organisation.
Over the course of a 20-year career working in charities, Jo has developed a strong track record in leadership, strategy, and team development. Her passion for addressing health and social inequalities has driven significant positive change, especially in her most recent role as CEO for Base 51, a charity which supports young people’s wellbeing and their transition into adulthood.
Jo has built and established an award-winning training centre, delivering professional, accredited training, and has spent the last three years successfully steering an organisation through a challenging funding landscape. Her commitment to social impact and interest in holistic wellbeing, positions her to continue the exceptional work already being delivered by Project 6.
Jo Jepson said:
“I am delighted to join Project 6 as the next CEO, the work of this charity is very close to my heart, being a passionate advocate of people who face complex and multiple disadvantages. I aim to develop the great work of this incredible charity, reducing stigma and creating a movement that supports people affected by substance use, at whatever stage they are at. I’m looking forward to getting to know the team, our partners and the people who use our services, so we can work together to take Project 6 into the future, so it can continue to develop and meet the increasing needs of the people in the communities we serve.”
Over the coming months Jo will be working with current CEO, Vicki Beere, to build her understanding of the organisation and familiarise herself with staff, partners and stakeholders.
